Herbert Craver Obituary

CRAVER, Herbert "Roy," 76, of San Antonio, Fla., formerly of Greene, N.Y., Triangle, N.Y. and Whitney Point, N,Y,, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City. Born in Colesville, N.Y., January 30, 1929, he retired as a quality control inspector for IBM in Endicott, N.Y., where he has been employed for 37 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 until 1947 and was called back during the Korean conflict, serving in the U.S. Army 1950-1952. He was an avid golfer and recorded two holes in one during his golfing career. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Marilyn; a daughter, Debbie Wade, and her husband, Charles, of Whitney Point, N.Y.; a brother, Irby Craver of Whitney Point and Ocoee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Amber and Matthew Wade, all of Whitney Point; several stepchildren and stepgrandchildren; and four nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Russell in 1993 and Alan in 1994; his father, Charles, in 1996; and his sister-in-law, Betty and his mother, Lucile, in 2005. A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dade City, with Father Douglas Zimmerman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy's name may be made to either Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37445 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525, or the building fund at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 37623 Magnolia Ave., Dade City, FL 33523.
