Ida Eileen HARRISON

HARRISON, Ida Eileen 95, of St. Petersburg died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Suncoast Hospice Care Center Mid Pinellas. Born April 1, 1918, in Ridgeley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ida May Hadra (Fair) and the late William Jacob Hadra. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Harrison, brothers William J. Hadra Jr., Elman F. Hadra, and nephew W. Reed Hadra. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Sue Hadra; nephews, Steven F. Hadra, John L. Hadra, William F. Hadra and Michael E. Hadra; and nieces, Susan H. Martin and Celia H. Sease. Mrs. Harrison was a retired Civil Service employee, she served in the United States Navy Civil Service from 1943 until retirement during WWII . Mrs. Harrison served and held positions of secretary to the commandant, stenographer and secretary to the Shops Group Superintendent for the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, VA. She was a faithful member of Community Bible Baptist Church and it's Dorcas ministry. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 9 am until service time at 11 am at Community Bible Baptist Church 3800 17th Avenue North with pastor Brent Stancil officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Gideons International or Community Bible Baptist Church. Gee & Sorensen Funeral Home.
