My dear Imari, may you rest in peace in the presence of our savior Jesus Christ. I'm gonna miss you so much, but I know one day I will see you again in Heaven. I am in shock, and still can't believe this is happening. Last time I talked to you, we were planning about studying together in preparation for NCLEX exam and we were both very excited and can't wait to become an RN. You know my friend, I'm going to study very hard and get that RN license and I will dedicate my nursing career for you! I miss you!

The pain and grief of such an immense loss as this is unspeakably heavy on the hearts of many. You are remembered as one whose presence is synonymous with love, warmth, joy, graciousness, care, and hope. In my heart of hearts I know that your spirit will continue to warm and guide those you touched. Like everyone else, I am a happier person for having had the opportunity to walk in your light. Imari was one of the sweetest, kindest people that I have ever met. We were students together and later worked together. We were to have worked together this past Sunday and we were all perplexed when she did not arrive as scheduled. I want to mention that it was Imari's dream to become a registered nurse and she was just a few months away from recognizing this goal. She would have been a fantastic, loving and caring nurse. I will miss you my friend. When I close my eyes I will always hear you calling me to help with a code brown in your awesome Japanese accent. It will not be the same without you. I dedicate the rest of my nursing career to you Imari and I will strive to provide the level of care that I know you would have provided. Rest in peace Imari and watch over those of us who remain. We will someday see you on the other side.
