Issac Richardson Obituary

RICHARDSON, Issac Stanton "Stan" 82, of Safety Harbor, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Westchester Gardens Rehabilitation and Care Center. Born in Salisbury, MD, he was a son of the late George E. "Wood" Richardson and Mary Hester Richardson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flossie Spry Richardson in 1968, a stepdaughter, Pamela Morris Gsvind in 1990, and his brother, George E. "Pete" Richardson in 2005. A WWII Marine veteran, he served in the Pacific with VMB Bombing Squadron 613. He was a 60 year lifetime member of Salisbury Elks BPOE 817, and a 48 year member of American Legion Synepuxent Post 166. He was a member of Atlantic Methodist Church, Ocean City, MD, and an affiliate member of Northwood Presbyterian Church in Clearwater. He was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association and a former judge for the Maryland Racing Commission. He was also the owner of Richardson Manor Apts. in Ocean City, MD. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Lola M. "Peach" Richardson; 3 daughters, Sharon R. Byers, and her husband, Joseph, of Green Cove Springs, Susan R. Eschenburg, and her husband, Dr. John "Jack", of Ocean City, MD, and Sandra L. McCabe, and her husband, Mace, of Bishopville, MD; 7 grandchildren, Amy B. Figgs, Jace Byers, Tiffany E. Henson, Kristy L. Eschenburg, C. Robert Gsvind Jr., Sarah C. Foxwell, and Sheldon Chandler IV; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews, and their spouses, Anne and Vincent Palumbo, of Annapolis, MD, and Kenny Richardson; and many beloved friends. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Feb. 29 at 11 am at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 2875 State Road 580, Clearwater, FL 33761. Interment will be at a later date in Parsons Cemetery, Salisbury, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Stan to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home
