David led a truly wonderful life that he forged out of humble beginnings. Coming close to being a relative, he was loved and admired by my parents. He will greatly missed. I wish it were possible for me to attend his mass. My thoughts and prayers are with him and Teresa.

Dear David;
You were the first person I met when my wife and I moved to Dunedin more than 18 years ago. We met at a Chamber After Hours Meeting and you invited me stop by the Dunedin Kaffee Klatsch so your could introduce me around. You also insisted that I join the Dunedin North Rotary Club and come to the Dunedin Council of Organizations breakfast.
You always had a kind word for everyone you saw. My favorite was,"that is really a nice shirt you chose today."
Kind friend, you will be sadly missed by all who knew you and were touched by your time with us. God rest you and keep you.
