J. Moore Obituary

MOORE, J. Jearl, age 71 of Lake Placid, passed away Tuesday, July 22 at his residence. He was a native of Alabama and had been a resident of Lake Placid since 1968 coming from Tampa. He was a superintendent in the citrus business and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Moore is survived by his daughter, Linda K. Hall of Lake Placid; sons, Steve Moore (Debbie) of Lake Placid, Glen Moore (Lisa) of Sebring; sisters, Geraldi ne Baxley, Lalay Whitaker, Donnafaye Williams, all of Bonifay; brothers, Hubert Moore and James Moore of Bonifay, Otis Moore of Esto, Alabama; special friend and companion, Polkalee Birge of Lake Placid; gra ndchildren, Stephanie Langford, J.J. Moore; Brian, Brad and Brittney Hall; Elaine, Christy, Paul and Summer Moore; great-grandchidren, Bryan, Bailey and Addy Langford; Andrew Calvett and Jessilyn Moore. He w as preceded in death by his wife, Yolan Faye, in 1997. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, Ju ly 25, at 11:00 a.m. from the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid with Rev. Thomas Moore celebrating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the loving guidan ce of Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid. (863) 465-4134.
