Jacinto Rubio Obituary

RUBIO, Jacinto 90, of Palm Harbor, was welcomed into God's arms on Dec. 3. He was the eighth of 15 children born to the late Jacinto Rubio and Barbara Beltran in Libano, Colombia. He served as a University professor and account for the Colombian Military before moving to the United States in 1968, where he became a proud American who loved and embraced his new home. Jacinto was a devoted Catholic and dedicated his life to caring for his beloved family who gave him his greatest happiness. He also enjoyed tinkering, gardening, observing nature, dancing & entertaining, as well as writing poetry. Jacinto was predeceased by his first son, Fernando Alberto. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Belisa Rubio Cuesta; sons Edward (Janeth), William (Jill), Fernando (Doreen); daughters Belisa (Arthur), Cecilia (Bruno), Amanda (Alfonso), Clarita; 16 grandchildren; and 2 great-grand-children. A Mass will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Palm Harbor on Saturday, Dec. 6th, beginning at 10:30 am.
