James BLEDSOE Obituary
passed away July 29, 2016 in Petoskey, MI. He was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Orlando. Jim attended Duke University and Tulane Medical School, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Freising, Germany. He practiced Obstectrics/Gynecology in Gainesville from 1963-68. In 1968, he moved his practice to St. Petersburg, staying until his retirement in 2000. He was in practice with Dr. Tom Hennessey and, together, they delivered thousands of babies at Bayfront Medical Center. Jim is survived by his wife, Vicki; three daughters, Beverly of Los Angeles, Sue (Phil) Garland and Tracey (Dave) Rhodes of Virginia; two sons, Jason (Kim) Poole of St. Petersburg and Jeremy (Natasha) Poole of Lake City; son-in-law, Sam Schuyler and brother, Bill Bledsoe. He has eight grandchildren, Morgan and Alison Taylor, Peter, Amelia, and Quinn Garland, Phoebe Schuyler and Will and Jessie Rhodes. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Debbie Schuyler. Memorials may be made to Hiland Cottage Hospice, 1 Hiland Drive, Petoskey, MI 49770.
