James McCALL Obituary
87, of Tampa, passed away August 25, 2018 at Tampa General Hospital. He is survived by his four children, Steve, Sandra, Laurie (Bill), Margie (Gus); one brother, Lamar; six grandchildren, Emily, Denim, Jeffrey, Jackson, Alexander, and Stephen Valdes; and his partner, Kathy (daughters, Carrie and Carla) who he was devoted to for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Samuel; sisters, Betty Anne, Patricia; and brother, John. James graduated from Plant High School in 1950 and had just started University of Tampa before he was drafted into the Air Force in 1951 during the Korean War. He worked for Ford for 35 years and was with the Florida Sheriff's Association for 26 years. He was also very proud of his association with Gasparilla and drove the King and Queen float for Gasparilla for many years. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
