I had the pleasure and honor of getting to know the Hogsten family over 30 years ago while in law enforcement.
Janet was always a wonderful lady. A great mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, and a loving, loyal wife and companion to her husband Ralph.
She was there with a kind word or gesture for her extended law enforcement family, and sound advise when needed. She was truly a rare gift, and a pleasure to be around. She was the kind of person who could bring peace and calm, to a sometimes chaotic world.
She was truly supportive of her son Gary's decision to pursue a career in law enforcement, and was there for him during his recovery from a severe on duty injury.
The world really needs more like her, and she will be truly missed.
May God bless the family left behind, giving them peace and consolation in her eternal rest.
Rest in peace Janet
