Janet MAISON Obituary

MAISON, Janet Virginia the daughter of George G.K. Maison and Mary K. Scott Maison, died June 30, 2013, at Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was the youngest of five daughters. Janet attended Mount Ida Women's College in Boston and went on to earn her degree in English Literature at the University of Connecticut. She lived in Chicago, IL, for many years working for law firms and retired to Clearwater in 2003. She was a life long bridge player and enjoyed her animals, genealogy research, travel & her wonderful books. Janet is survived by her sisters, Emma Crozer "Gemmy" Brown, Loveland, CO, & Mary Gray Rauscher of Columbia, SC; nine nieces & nephews. Janet was a member of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Clearwater. The family of Janet Maison wish to thank her friends and neighbors at "Top of The World" for their caring & kindness to Janet during her long illness. Arrangements will be handled by the National Cremation Society, and the memorial service will be announced at a later date.
