Jay-

You gave me an opportunity at the League and I will forever be grateful. Your encouragement, mentorship and not so subtle pushes challenged me to do better, work harder, to have confidence and never underestimate myself. All I can say is "thank you."

Jay, you left us too soon. We were supposed to play trivia and share our travels. You have taken the most grand adventure of all and I'm sure gonna miss you. Your smile was contagious and your laugh was the highlight of my day. I'll never understand life's ways of making people collide but I'm so thankful my path led me to our friendship. I miss you tremendously!

A life long friend when we had met in 1978 at FSU while we lived on the same dorm floor. Jay had a great sense of humor. I honestly can't think of any another person who has made me laugh so much. I will miss his quick wit and intelligence. We referred to him as the King of the One Liners. A diehard Seminole who made many road trips in support of his Noles. Always a hard worker and beloved by all his work colleagues and dear friends. Jay had so many gifts. A shout out to his loving sister Lynn. She is so special as well. I will miss my friend.

Jay was one of my long time college friends. We first met on the Fall of 1978 at Magnolia Hall. Shocked and sad to see him go. Rest well my friend.

I´ve known Jay since I was a tiny child and we were both in diapers. I loved him like a brother. He was a fabulous human being.
