Jay MYERS Obituary

MYERS, Jay

of Seminole, passed away Nov. 14, 2015 after a short illness. He leaves behind his wife, Penny Laughlin of Seminole; niece, Nancy Dugwyler of Siloam Springs, AR; and nephew, Curt Hornor of Farmington, AR. Jay was an Eagle Scout before graduating from the University of Arkansas with a degree in architecture. His architectural firm, Myers and Associates, was recently named to the 'Top 10 Architects in Pinellas County.' An avid Arkansas Razorback fan, avid sailor of Mystic, and lover of trees, Jay was a lover of all nature. A Celebration of his Life will be Saturday, Nov. 21 for friends and family. I have known Jay for over 40 years and almost always saw him with a smile on his face. I even had the opportunity to be a member of his crew on Mystic a couple of times and he was always competitive. I will miss hearing him call out the nickname he gave me!
