Joanne STARR Obituary
88, of Brandon, FL, died January 7, 2019, and was born December 31, 1930, in Lorain, Ohio, moved to Tampa in 1939. She retired from WFLA radio Clear Channel Communications after 30 years. She was preceded in death by brothers, Sonny, Richard, and Ted Starr. She is survived by sister, Gretchen Sacra; nieces and nephews, Bob Starr and wife Char, Linda Starr Kerns and husband Tony, Johanna Smith and husband Dave, Ted Sacra and wife Katie, Reggie Starr, Bonnie Miller, Connie Cater and Richard Starr Jr. Memorial services will take place at 2 pm, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Hodges Funeral Home at 36327 Highway 54, Zephyrhills, FL.

As a young teenager I helped Joanne with her donkeys, chickens, geese & cows. I absolutely loved it and loved her genuine love for animals as I indeed loved them as well. She was such a sweet vibrant lady. I had thought of her a lot over the last 6 months as I passed her old home frequently. I'm sorry to hear the news of her passing. I'm glad she is no longer in pain and at peace.
