John Chisholm Obituary

CHISHOLM, John H.,age 78 of Brooksville died Tuesday, September 14, 2004. Born in Brooklyn, NY he came here 23 years ago from Berea, KY. He was a retired Professor for Eastern Kentucky University after 20 years of service and was most proud of teaching children at the elementary level in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kentucky and for 10 years at Mitchell L. Black Elementary retiring in 1991. He also taught English to foreign born adults, was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post #99 and St. John's Episcopal Church both of Brooksville. Survivors include his Wife: Dorothy; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Deborah L. & Joe Durno of LaBelle, FL, Judith T. Chisholm of Lake Worth, FL, Janine M. & Jay Dillon of Augusta, GA, Roberta L. & Kevin Ruce of Chesapeake, VA and Alison P. & John Anglin of Clarksville, GA; 1 Sister: Jean Clark of Jacksonville, FL; 5 Grandsons; Matthew R. & Brian M. Durno both of LaBelle, FL, Joshua B. & Zachary W. Anglin both of Clarksville, GA & Erik C. Ruce of Ch esapeake, VA. A Memorial Service will be conducted 11:00am, Saturday September 18, 2004 at St. John's Episcopal Church of Brooksville with the Rev. Donald Jaikes officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 200 South Brooksville Ave., Brooksville, FL 34601.
