SIDNEY — John P. Knouff, 75, of Sidney, passed away Saturday morning, June 9, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital.
He was born on March 17, 1943 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late John H. and Clara (Toland) Knouff.
On Aug. 2, 1963, John married Linda Davis, who survives along with one sister, Joyce Newbold, of Sidney, three grandchildren, Erica (Steve) Martin, Matthew (Ann) Abbott,and Danielle (Allan) Lovett, and six great-grandchildren, Avonell, Kimberlyn and Damien Martin, Rylen and Rozlyn Abbott and Liam Lovett.
He was preceded in death by one son, Brent John Knouff.
Mr. Knouff was a Hardin Houston High School graduate. He worked as a foreman and later retired as a lab technician from Copeland Corporation.
John enjoyed life and was very active in drag racing, shooting sporting clays, fishing and traveling to many states with his wife Linda.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, with Pastor Chad Wilson officiating. Committal services will take place at Beechwood Cemetery in Lockington at a later date.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the hour of service.
