John Kreps Obituary

KREPS III., John C. 87 died Feb. 22, 2011 at Oak Manor Rehab in Largo. He was an WWII Vet serving 6 years on destroyers in the Pacific and Mediterranean. He retired from the NJSP in 1974 after 25 years service, he was proud of his time spent in the Navy and the State Police. John was a life member of VFW, Tin Can Sailors, NJSP Former Troopers ASSN., and State Troopers ASSN. He was predeceased by his son John, father John and mother Cecelia, a sister Gloria and a brother Joseph. He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Betty) of 58 years; sisters, Roberta Hanson and Ann Deighan, New Jersey, Joan Miegel, Delaware; 19 nieces and nephews; many friends. Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 2121 16th Ave SW Largo, FL, 33770 on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11 am. Interment will be later at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's name to Suncoast Hospice Attention, Lavender Team, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760 or St. Patrick's School.
