John PETTIT Obituary

PETTIT, John Joseph, 60, of Tampa, FL died Jan-uary 1st, 2016 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center, with his three siblings and loving family members at his side. John is survived by his brother, Richard Pettit of Clearwater, FL and his wife, Elaine Pettit; his sister, Catherine Reese of Hunts-ville, AL and her husband, Jeff Reese; and his sister, Theresa Green of St. Peters-burg, FL; nephews, Nick and Mark; nieces, Heather, Harmony, Athena, and Zoe; great-nieces, Ava and Lucy; great-nephew Owen; rela-tives, Aunt Gisela Melvin, Aunt Jean Ann Sweeney, and Uncle Ray Sweeney; and many cousins. John is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Pettit and his father, Lewis William Pettit. John was born in Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1955. Being part of a military family, John lived in many parts of the United States and in Germany. After his family moved to Florida in 1971, John made it his per-manent home. He graduated with the class of 1973 at Northeast High School and went on to earn a degree in accounting at The University of South Flo-rida. John really enjoyed his career and for the last 25 years worked as an accoun-tant in the sports apparel manufacturing industry. A Funeral Mass will be cele-brated for John, and burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of John Joseph Pettit.

So sad to hear of John;s passing, but understand he did not suffer. My condolences to his family. I worked with him for many years & he was always there to answer questions.
