I just found this and am very saddened. He was an awesome teacher, and mentor. I wish I could have learned more. His passion knew no bounds. Fly high Jorge. You are and will be forever missed.

Jorge. I finally found you. And now you are gone. I just wanted you to know that I still have the Tree that you asked us to draw. That piece of paper must be at least 18 years old now. You told me that my Tree was big and strong, with deep roots, and a solid foundation. But that it was bare, and I needed to put some leaves on it. Just in case you were wondering, my new and improved Tree is overflowing with Love, Peace, and Happiness. It has a new husband, four beautiful children, and two wonderful dogs. It is full of Avocados, Bananas, and Berries. Broccoli, Kale, and Spinach. I have recently added some Yoga, Meditation, and Fasting on there. And I somehow managed to squeeze an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degree on there as well. All because of you. Your words and wisdom never fell on deaf ears with me. I heard and understood every word that you said. Thank you for planting the seed in all of us who were so fortunate and blessed enough to know you!!!

It was a true honor to have been a student of Jorge's. He was supremely passionate about teaching. He cared about his students. You could tell he was a very sincere, good person. Once you met Jorge, you never forgot him or his stories. He will be dearly missed. Vaya con Díos, Jorge, y gracias para todo.
