JOSEPH VELTRI Joseph Veltri, 84, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Joseph was a steam pipe fitter for Dixon Crucible and then later worked as a maintenance supervisor for New Jersey City University, where he retired in 2007. He served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army. Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Florence (Shindle) Veltri; loving father of Joan Veltri, Christine Vitkuske and her late husband Kenneth, Anthony Veltri, Joseph Veltri and wife Martha, Richard Veltri and wife Nancy; devoted brother of Anthony Rodriguez and the late Angelina Bolowski and John Veltri; brother-in-law of Barbara Rodriguez, and the late Margaret Veltri and Frank Vida; cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 7; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation from Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ, on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
