Kent was such a nice man. I´m glad I got to be his friend, if even for a short time.

Kent was a good friend for over 50 years. We met as neighbors on Tequesta Dr. in Seminole Lake Country Club community the first day he and Glenna moved in, soon after they were married. Kent and Don bonded over their love of golf and they spent many hours together on the course. We have such fond memories of evenings after work, Kent and Don would play the four holes behind our houses and Glenna and I and our little girls would walk with them to enjoy the company and the beautiful evenings on the golf course. Through the years, we enjoyed many dinners together, parties in the neighborhood, and social events at the Club. Kent and Glenna invited us many times to visit them in their North Carolina summer home, but by that time we had been transferred to Minnesota, and it just never seemed to work out. After retirement we returned to FL and, at Kent and Glenna's invitation, we attended Faith Presbyterian Church with them, and enjoyed many Sunday lunches to follow. Growing up in an Air Force family, I always appreciated Kent's Air Force service, and enjoyed his funny stories about how he became a pilot. He and Glenna were members our "usual suspects" casual dinner group that met monthly. Kent missed last month's dinner. He will be so very missed by all who knew him. We are so blessed that Kent's daughter, Katie, and our daughter have remained good friends all these years, in spite of the long distance between Minnesota and FL.
Our family will be making a contribution to Turning Point USA in Kent's honor.
