Kermit Carlberg Obituary

CARLBERG, Kermit W. 85, of St. Petersburg, went to Heaven on Jan. 23, 2012 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born April 4, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN, he served in USNR in WWII and Korean War and retired from Publix Bakery in the mid-nineties. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Demetra of 63 years,; three children, Kermit Jr. (wife Sara), daughter Kimberly Abe (husband Brian) and daughter Karen Blenis (husband Robert); seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Stephen, Lauren, Allison, Danielle, Robby; one sister, Marion. Predeceased by sister Viola and brothers Earl and Ken. A Celebration of Life will be held Feb. 4 at 2 pm at Northside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Suncoast Child Evangelism Fellowship for Good News Clubs www.cefsuncoast.org

We are sorry we were unable to attend Kerm's funeral on Saturday. We understand Kerm had been ill for awhile. But, somehow, we are never ready to say good-bye. We have wonderful memories of Kerm and many good time at Northside. We are praying for you all - Mede, Kerm, Kim and Karen.
