Kevin DILLON

DILLON, Kevin, 71, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Saturday evening October 19, 2013 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid. He was born on December 12, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Catherine and Thomas Martin Dillon. Kevin spent his younger years on the east coast of Florida before moving with his wife and children to Fort Myers in 1972. After retiring as a manager in the insurance industry, Kevin moved to Lake Placid in 1996 where he was an active member of the American Legion Placid Post 25, Elks Lodge 2661, VFW Post 3880 and the local order of Moose Lodge 2374. Mr. Dillon was of the Catholic faith and most loved spending time with his family and friends, especially playing cards. Kevin is preceded in death by his first wife of 27 years, Diane and their son, Michael. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Katrine; son, Jeff Dillon; stepson, Clint Smith; 7 grandchildren; Cody, Alyssa, Mallory, Morgan, Meagan, Zachary and Blake; a step great grandson, Alistair; and his brother, Thomas Dillon, as well as many nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as "Unkie". Kevin also cared for several foster children over the years and is especially remembered by two foster children, Sammy Bullock and Donna Wilkinson. Kevin was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. A service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held this Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2 pm at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W.
