Krista ROBERTS Obituary
Purvis 57, a native of Tampa, passed away after a lengthy illness April 25, 2017. She attended Hillsborough High School and graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Krista briefly taught elementary school in Georgia. Upon her return to Florida, she began working in the banking industry and worked for a number of banks, most notably she worked for Bank of America for almost 20 years. Krista is loved and survived by her sister, Cheryl (Tom) Ferguson; nephews, Jeremy (Megan) Brown, Steve Brown, and their father, Tom Brown; grandniece, Lydia; grandnephews, Mitchell and Callum; many cousins; and two very special friends, Chris Rakauskas and Ross Puleo Jr. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) would be greatly appreciated. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, 12-2 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 pm, at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511. A private burial will take place at a later time.

It was very sad for me to hear about Dear Krista's lengthy illness and of her passing. I knew Krista from junior high and high school days. I also have wonderful memories of working with her at Seminole Elem. and attending Education classes with her at USF. We spent many hours and days together in our early years. She was always a lovely person and a wonderful friend. She always spoke highly of her family. I know she is now in a better place with no more sorrow or pain. Looking forward to seeing her again in Heaven one day.

Dear Sister (Cheryl) and family,
Iam so sorry for your loss and ours. Krysta was very special, kind, smart and a beautiful person inside and out. I loved her! My heart fell when I heard. Krista will be missed. She had a smile that could light up a room. It was an honor and privilege to know her and attend to her at Rosecastle. She always had a hug to share.

Krista was a sweet friend at Rose Castle at Delaney Creek. My husband is there and she always wanted my hugs. She loved the church music when Pastor David would come and play hymns on the piano and sing . She will be greatly missed by me.
