LANCE, Lane D. a devoted husband, caring father, cherished grandfather, and proud great-grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family. Lane's journey may have come to an end, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.Lane was not only a Florida native, but he was also a native of St. Petersburg. A graduate of USF, Lane was a Businessman and General Contractor. He was an avid boater, gardener, golfer and cook. Lane's infectious laughter and genuine smile could brighten even the cloudiest of days, and always left an impression on those fortunate enough to experience his infectious spirit.Lane will be dearly missed by his loving family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. While his physical presence may no longer be with us, his legacy of love, strength, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of everyone whose lives he touched.The funeral will be held at Indian Rocks Baptist Church on June 29 at 3 pm. Following the service there will be a celebration of life at Belleair Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Empath Suncoast Hospice and/or Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Lane's memory.
