Leland Dickens Obituary

DICKENS, Leland Arthur, 80, beloved husband of Nancy Dickens, went with the Lord November 28, 2006. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Leland was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Dickens. He is survived by his three sons, Tom and Linda Dickens, Fort Pierce, Bill and Melinda Dickens, Tampa, and Bruce and Maria Dickens, Spencerport, N.Y.; daughter, Peggy, and Steven Brawn, Seymour, Mo.; two brothers, Milton and Gerri Dickens, and Roger and Ginger Dickens; and sister, Joyce, and Herman Hermanson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tim and Katie Dickens, Cooper Dickens, Joey and Anthony Dickens and Danielle Giudice; and several nieces and nephews. Leland will be missed for his sense of humor, his love of NASCAR, and the love he shared with his family members and friends. Memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2006, at Palma Ceia United Methodist Church, 3723 Bay to Bay Blvd., Tampa. The family will receive friends following the service at Bill and Melinda's home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee's name to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.
