September 4, 2012

I have fond memories of Mr. Leo and the Armbrust family. It was my pleasure to have lived approximately four doors from Armbrust Brothers Bakery when my family moved to Washington Street in Hamilton, Ohio, around 1957. I frequented the bakery not only because my parents sent me there for bread but also because I found the treats irresistible.

Mr. Leo's family lived just two doors from mine and his daughter, a feisty little "Mary Ann", befriended me; we remained playmates until they moved away.

I never forgot the Armbrust family and have often thought of them over the years. I never knew where they had moved until seeing this obituary.

Thank you, Mr. Armbrust, for the "sweet" memories.

My deepest condolences to the family.
