Hey grandma , I’m in college now . I’ll graduate the end of next year or the beginning of 2027 with my associates in business , then I’ll be going back for my bachelors . I really wish you was here with me . I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately . On one of my essays I wrote about the drawing you drew for me on my birthday . The message on the drawing you wrote spoke to me. “It’s not about letting the storm pass , but to learn how to dance in the rain. “ I’ve been going to church a lot for the past year now almost . In church the other day the pastor said “ In heaven there is no disease or sickness, it will be amazing up there.” He also said Grandma is up there doing great. I instantly started crying and thought about you. When I get married and have kids..(maybe lol) I’m going to tell them all about you. Show them all the drawings and all you did for me and the family. I remember when you always would say “baby Jesus” I have a necklace with your face on it because I miss you a lot . Alyssa’s talks great about you all the time and says she misses you . Ohhhh Gradma how I miss you . This year marks 6 years . But it feels like more . You always made me laugh . The day you died , it was raining . The family was sad on earth. But I know heaven was rejoicing when they gained an angel. I love you grandma RIP LESLIE Oldest granddaughter -Alana Williams (Duck)

Leslie,
I saw this poem and thought of you:

A sister is someone who loves you from the heart,
No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart.
She is a joy that cannot be taken away,
Once she enters your life, she is there to stay.
A friend who helps you through difficult times,
Her comforting words are worth much more than dimes.
A partner who fills your life with laughs and smile,
These memories last for miles and miles.
When she is by your side, the world is filled with life,
When she is not around, your days are full of strife.
A sister is a blessing, who fills your heart with love,
She flies with you in life with the beauty of a dove.
A companion to whom you can express your feelings,
She doesn't let you get bored at family dealings.
Whether you are having your ups or downs,
She always helps you with a smile and never frowns.
With a sister you cannot have a grudge,
She is as sweet as chocolate and as smooth as fudge.
Having a sister is not just a trend,
It is knowing you can always turn to her, your best friend.

Love ya, Big Sis. At the end of the day, we are family. I still got all my sisters with me - in life and death.
I will start drawing again - but first I gotta sell my screenplay. I like art but writing is my first love. RIP.
- Tracie

My biggest memory of you, Aunt Leslie, was your art and your fun loving personality. I remember being a kid and I couldn't wait for you to draw me a new picture. I think you inspired me a lot to be artistic. I wish I could have spent more time around you and I'm so sorry this happened. I pray you're at peace. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts.

My sister, I'm very happy to have been a part of your life and to have spent your last physical days on this plain laughing and remembering the past together and glad you knew that though we are miles away we will forever have that bond. You showed me its good to cherish our yesterdays, dream about our tomorrows but love your today's to the fullest. Never will forget you or those beautiful pictures you drew for us. So happy for your eternal peace... much love

Aunt Leslie, you have given me everlasting nostalgic memories of being a little kid, running around at grandpa's house being so excited to see the art you created for us. That time period will always have a special place in my heart. I still remember the books you use to give me whenever I would come over, they were always a bit quirky, but I loved them. A big part of me is so sad that I didn't spend more time with you, but an even bigger part of me knows this is only another chapter in the story of your amazing existence and you have passed on to a brand new phase of life. You will forever be in the hearts of the many souls who had the honor of knowing you and you have left a bigger footprint in my life than you could have ever imagined. I love you.

Dear Aunt Leslie,
When I met you, I was about 10 years old. You were one of the most VIBRANT, FUN, UNIQUE , & UNFORGETTABLE people I've ever met. My Mother (Debra Hollis) always spoke very fondly of you. You were the big sis my mother looked up to growing up. I wish I could of had MORE personal moments with you. But I'm not trippin, cuz now your soul has NO LIMITS! You are EVERYWHERE & you are EVERYTHING!
Stay near us Angel. Guide Us & Protect Us.
We Love You. (Wussup Nikki!!!! I miss u)

My dear Aunt Leslie,
You will be missed..your colorful personality and funny attitude. I remember spending the night with you and Nikki while you were dancing to"Don't mess with my tooth toot " by Denise LaSalle. That's when I knew that you were the goofy one! Lol! You're now with Grandma and although you're not here physically...I know you'll be looking over the family in spirit.
Stay blessed up there!

I love you mom It feels like you are still here with me. In a way you are. I will always remember you making me laugh. You always knew what to say to make me smile. I remember as a child you would take me to Fort Desoto and we would have so much fun. Maybe that's why I love the beach so much to this day. I remember in Alabama, I saw fireflies for the first time and you bought Ruby for me. When we lived in Texas, I remember you teaching me how to drive on all of those hills And in high school years we had a blast riding across the bridge to Tampa going shopping, out to eat and to the movies. It's funny because these are all the same things I enjoy doing with your grandkids. I know you aren't suppose to question God but I asked..why would you take my mom away..she had so much life left in her...There were so many more things I wanted to do.....but I think you said it best..."Nikki we've done so much together already...you now have kids and Patrick.. True. Like I said you always knew what to say. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to express my feelings and tell you how much love I have for you and how I wouldn't trade you for the world. You are now in peace and I miss you dearly
