Lisa Pinelli Obituary

PINELLI, Lisa was carried by the angels to Heaven on June 25, 2014. She was 42 years young and loved greatly by everyone. She was brought into this world on January 22, 1972. She was an over-achiever in life and at work, where she spent her last 13 years working in the Hillsborough County Special Education Department. She loved and cherished her dog, Roxy and nurtured and cared for her like a mother with a newborn child. The Lord took her from us quickly, she did not suffer and for that Lord, we are forever grateful. Our hearts are broken. Our Lisa is survived by her parents, Michael and Margaret Pinelli; her sister and husband, Michelle and Curt Maley; her nephews, Michael and Zack Maley; and life partner of 18 years, James Baxter. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd. Brandon, FL 33511. Funeral service will follow immediately. In lieu of flowers for those that would like to donate, please send donations to the Red Cross. In honor of Lisa's love for the University of Alabama, please wear your Alabama Crimson Tide gear. Roll Tide!

While our time with Lisa was relatively short, she made a lasting impact on our lives and we are blessed to have known her. Lisa inspired us both with her genuine attitude and her lively spirit. Lisa lived life on her own terms, and as such has inspired me in several challenging moments to do the same. We will forever cherish our wedding photos even more now, knowing that Lisa captured those memories for us. It was a true honor to call her friend, and she will live in our hearts and prayers forever. Until we meet again, Lisa, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand. P.S. We don't care what the experts say: we know that Roxy will join you in heaven one day! Enjoy paradise, our dear friend!

I worked with Lisa until 2010 at Youth Services. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. I found her to be a genuine and upbeat young lady who had a great smile, attitude, and sense of humor. God bless you Lisa. I know you are missed by so many. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. Jennifer Owen

To the Pinelli family:
So shocked to hear about Lisa's passing. Although I was 5-6 yrs of age, I remember Lisa being the other big sister I never had. I always wanted to tag a long with her and my older sister "Gina". They prolly referred to me as " the pest". She will be missed by so many. My deepest sympathy!

My heart aches. You will be sorely missed but never forgotten. I will always cherish our childhood years. You were my first best friend. I hated to say goodbye in 1984 but knew we would touch base again some day. To have you present at my wedding in 1999 was unforgettable. You will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget you. May you rest in peace.

My condolences to the Pinelli family. It has been years since I saw Lisa but I will always remember her as one of the sweetest, funniest and sassiest girls at Robinson. It is so shocking to hear of her passing because she was just too young and taken too soon. My heart goes out to you all and may you find comfort in all the memories she made here.
