Lois Hedges Obituary

HEDGES, Lois A. (Orr), 73, of Lake Placid, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2003 at her home. Lois was a native of Bexley, Ohio and moved to Miami, Florida in 1954 before taking up residency in 1988 in LakePlacid. She was a homemaker. Lois was a member of the Lake Placid Women's Club and a volunteer Pink Lady at the Florida Hospital, Lake Placid. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Placid.Lois is survived by her husband of 55 years, James William Hedges of Lake Placid. Her children include daughter, Penny Barber of Lake Placid, sons, Joseph (Alice) Hedges of Lake Placid, Elston (Diane) Hedges of Mooresville, NC., and Bobby (Donna) Hedges of Lake Placid, Daughter-in-law, Katy Pierce, sister, Mary Ventura of Marietta, Ohio, brother, Norman Orr of Leesburg, Florida and 7 Grandchildren. Friends maycall on the family Tuesday, January 21 from 5 until 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Scott Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be from the Union Congregational Church in Avon Park, Wednesday, January 22, at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Bill Breylinger will celebrate. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Thursday, January 23. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sentto the Good Shepherd Hospice, P.O. box 1884, Sebring, Florida 33871-1884. Arrangements are under the loving guidance of Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid, (863) 465-4134.
