Stover, Lonza V.

passed away July 23, 2025 in Sarasota, FL. He was born in Barberton, OH, Aug. 23, 1956. Lonza eventually made his way to Pinellas County, and worked for the City of St. Petersburg Parks Dept.; after dedicating 20 years, he retired and subsequently moved to his property in Old Town, Dixie County, FL, out of the hustle of Pinellas to the laid-back country life. He loved being in the tranquility of nature, sitting on his porch listening to the birds chirping, wildlife starting their day, while sipping his coffee. Lonza was preceded in death by his father, Lonza H. Stover (TN), mother, Betty Garrett (OH), and his brother Larry Stover (TN). He is survived by his lifelong partner of 23 years, Ann Rickenbach; three sisters, Patsy (Pat) Stanholtz (WV), Paula Corrick (OH), Portia Stover (AZ); son, Jack Stover (St. Petersburg), daughter, Alisha Stover Majercik (Sparta TN); grandsons, Xavier and Gage Franklin (Gulfport). Lonza cherished family time, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and occasional golf. He had a passion for riding his Harley and going to Biker Fests across FL along with his friends. Lonza's life is marked by a legacy of love, laughter, commraderie of friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOE, 4250 Pinellas Park on Aug. 23, 2025 from 2-5 pm, where Lonza had been a member for 24 years.
