Lucy was a lady of traditional southern charm and a smile that could brighten even the darkest day. I personally found that often and it always sparked renewed hope and gave inspiration.

Jim and Joey and Earlyne and all the rest of the family, I mourn your loss as I would one of my family. Because that is what it is to this day. Family.

This space does not allow all of my emotions, but I will express them at another time.

Joey, Sorry we were unaware of your mothers passing. She was a wonderful lady and a great boss! We worked with her at The Charge Card Center. She will be missed by all who knew her and you will be in our prayers. Rosemary Rico and Ruby Edwards

To My Godson Joe...

I know along the way we have lost touch but I never forget you or my friend Lucy. Or your Dad, Jim.

I heard the news of Lucy from John Hodges today and my heart is so saddened for you and your family.

How can this be?? My friend of so many years is gone...it seems like just yesterday we were on Palmview Court and waiting the arrival of you Joe.

I will never forget my cherished friendship with Lucy. We had many good times together.

She gave me such encouragement last year when my Mother was going through hip surgery. She told me "If I can beat lung cancer, Eunice can knit a new hip"

God Bless you Lucy!

Please...know I am with you all at this time from my heart. I am in New York now but I am with you in spirit.

Please do not lose touch with me.

Love to the family of Lucy, Joe, Jim and all of those who had the honor to know Lucy.
