Madge Redwine Obituary

REDWINE, Madge Foster, 85, of Tampa, formerly of Ashland, Ky., passed on to be with her Lord and savior on Thursday, September 16, 2004, after a long illness and compli- cations due to Parkinson's disease. She was born to Perry Lee and Della (Atkins) Foster of Sandy Hook, Ky. There she met and married Claude R. Redwine. After leaving Sandy Hook, they moved to Flemingsburg, Ky., and then to Ashland, Ky. Mrs. Redwine was very active in her church missionary society and the Woman's Democratic Party while living in Kentucky. She was also commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by the Democratic Woman's Club of Kentucky. In 1985, her husband, Claude, was killed in an automobile accident. She was also predeceased by sisters, Audra Redwine, Virginia Johnson, and Laverna Kreiner. Surviving family includes her daughters, Claudette Campbell and Sue Redwine Christian, both of Tampa, and Dolores J. Redwine of Laguna Beach, Calif.; sister, Majel Horton of Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Suzanne Campbell, Angela Bro oke Campbell, James Michael Christian and wife Kerry, all of Tampa, and Specialist Jeffrey Christian and wife Elizabeth, stationed with the Stryker Division at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska; and great-grandson, Liam Sean Christian. Funeral services will be conducted, honoring her life, on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Dana Narring officiating. The family will gather with their friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be at a later date at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Peacefield Mausoleum.
