Makenli MARTIN Obituary

MARTIN, Makenli Christine

was born February 11, 2012 to Hunter and Vanessa Martin. She was taken home to be with God February 4, 2017, one week before her fifth birthday. Makenli loved life! She came into this world under strained conditions, involving a very high-risk pregnancy. But, she did not let that slow her down at all. Makenli walked early, talked early, and began singing at the same time. She had perfect pitch and an incredible memory. Makenli could quote nearly the entire Disney movie Frozen at two years of age, songs and script. Her favorite colors were pink and purple, which was the way she liked to dress; bright, happy, fun colors. Makenli loved to show off her ballet skills. She would teach you her latest steps and then expect you to dance with her. She was beautiful and her inner beauty was even brighter. For the short time God gave her to us, Makenli lit up every corner she could find. Bible Class was one of her favorite times of the week. She loved talking about God and had lots of questions about Him. Now, she has all the answers. She contracted a rare strain of E. coli and fought valiantly against it until God rescued her and took her to be with him, surrounded by her loving family. Blessed by her short life were her parents, Hunter and Vanessa Martin; her brother, Malakai; her grandparents, Carl Martin (Popsi), Patti Martin (Mimi), Christine and Rusty Meeks (MawMaw and PawPaw); great-grandparents, Mabel and Dewey Martin (Nana and Papa); her Popi Ed; her uncle and aunt, Rene and Marcia Martin, uncle and aunt, Jason and Ginger Martin, her aunt and uncle, Sarah and Chris Parrish, her uncle, Luke Martin, her aunt, Alexis Martin, her aunt, Bridgette Meeks, her aunt, Mindy Cummings; several great-aunts and uncles; and many cousins. Her Celebration of Life will be on her birthday, February 11, 2017 at Valrico Church of Christ, 1520 S. Miller Rd., Valrico, FL 33594. Visitation will be at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa. In honor of her love of bright, happy colors, (especially pink and purple), the family is requesting those attending her celebration dress accordingly. Hunter and Vanessa, You both have been such great parents I was so delighted to have this little angel my first grandchild call me Mimi. There will never be another one to take her place. My heart is truly broken not only for myself but especially for the both of you, Mimi wished she could of taken her place to spare you both such heartbreak. I love you both and the only joy there is in this is knowing one day I will see her again!! Makenli I Miss and Love you to the Moon and Back Always and Forever. Mimi

Dear Hunter and Vanessa,

I am so, extremely sorry for the loss of your precious baby girl. I do not know your family, but I have been praying for you all this past week as though you are my own. Makenli is a beautiful little girl (and I say "is" because I know she is twirling around, singing and dancing in the presence of our Good Father right now). I pray fervently for you all, for Patti, and for Malakai every day, multiple times a day. I don't always have the ability to form words other than calling your names out to God. May He bring you all comfort and peace even during this darkest and most unthinkable of times.

The LORD bless and keep you and comfort you during this temporary separation. To live is Christ, to die is gain, and to be absent from this earthly body is to be present with The LORD. Thank you for being such a blessing to share her brilliant light\life with us and we Know, soon, we will hear her sing and see her joyfully play in our eternal Home: Disney on steriods.

Dear Martin family;
Nothing in this life can prepare you for the grief you feel today or for the grief that you will feel in the days to come. Our children are only lent to us. We will never know the reason why God takes one so young. God knows our futures, we are all a part of his plan and God knows what lies ahead for each and everyone of us. She is Forever In the Arms of Jesus. You will forever remember her love, you will forever remember the moments you shared with her. We pray that God will give each of you peace and comfort for the days and years ahead. Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul with all your mind, you will see her again! Be still and know that he is God! Our hearts are breaking along with yours!

Hi Martin family & friends of Makenli. We know that your harts are broken and you are missing her on this earth. That's normal. However, Makenli is now in the most WONDERFUL PLACE there is, with GOD. Makenli now knows exactly what it is like to be there, that she wanted to know more about it when she was on this world. She will miss all of you also, but she will be at the "Gates of Heaven" with GOD, when our day comes. You all our in out thoughts & prayers. Stan & I will be at Makenli's Birthday/Celebration Service. That is HER DAY!!
