Doris Scarborough Obituary

Doris Scarborough, 83

WORCESTER - Doris (Reardon) Scarborough, 83, of Worcester, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Hermitage Golden Living Center.

Her husband of 44 years, Herbert E. Scarborough, died in 2000.

She leaves a daughter Laura L. Maguire and her husband Frank Maguire of Oakham; a son Bradford J. Scarborough and his wife Sandy Scarborough of Oxford; a sister Carole Raskett and her husband Richard Raskett of Worcester; a brother Frank E. Reardon and his wife Maureen Reardon of West Warren; two grandchildren, Matthew and Allison; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Scarborough was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank and Pearl (Carlson) Reardon, and lived in Worcester all her life.

She was a proofreader for many years. Later in life, she decided on a career change and worked as a nursing assistant before retiring in 1994.

Doris was a talented artist and enjoyed sharing her creative endeavors with others, especially her portraiture. She was a former member of the Covenant United Methodist Church on Hamilton Street.

Funeral services and burial in Hope Cemetery will be private.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
