O'BRIEN, Marion Jane A.

93, of Saint Petersburg FL, died Saturday, December 24, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn NY on October 19, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph A. O'Brien and the late Marion Tulley O'Brien; sister to the late Joseph J. O'Brien; and sister-in-law to the late Florence C. O'Brien. She had been a resident of Saint Petersburg for the past 30 years, formerly living in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY. Marion attended Brooklyn College and was a career employee and manager at the New York Telephone Company in both Manhattan and Brooklyn until her retirement and relocation to Saint Petersburg in 1987. She was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Marine Park, Brooklyn and Saint Jude the Apostle Cathedral, Saint Petersburg. She is survived by her niece, Brianne F. O'Brien-Bellapianta of Coram, NY; her nephew, Patrick M. O'Brien of New Albany, OH; nephew-in-law, Frank J. Bellapianta; niece-in-law, Kim M. O'Brien; grandnephews and grandnieces, Nicholas H. Bellapianta, Daniel C. Bellapianta, Shaelyn E. O'Brien, Ainsley N. O'Brien and Quinn M. O'Brien. She is also survived by her godson, Christopher G. Meinecke of Durham, NC. She was predeceased by her fiance;, Edward Clarke and nephew Joseph F. O'Brien. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Brett Funeral Home, 4810 Central Avenue, Saint Petersburg. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 9:30 am at Saint Jude the Apostle Cathedral, Saint Petersburg. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 am in Saint John's Cemetery, Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, Queens NY.
