Not sure what to say?

So sad to learn of the passing of yet another member of the DeAugustino family. I had the privilege to have begun my teaching career at Munhall High School where I coached football with Mark's Uncle Steve. In 1973, I joined the faculty at North Allegheny where I worked with Mark's Dad, the legendary Gus DeAugustino. I watched Mike and Scott wrestle all the way to States and the same with Mark, but also had the honor to have taught him as well. Mark was a fine student and an even finer young man. My deepest condolences to Suzanne, Niko, Holly and John as well as to MIke. May he rest in peace and may he lie with all the DeAugustino's who have gone before him in God's loving and sheltering embrace.

Mark I had in one of my English classes at North Allegheny. One of the more quiet of the DeAugustino's, he was still a great student to have in class, respectful and hard working. His family should be proud of all he accomplished.

My sincere prayers and condolences to your family. I know how proud you were of the accomplishments and skill he had as a wrestler and the knowledge that he passed down many lessons to his students.

I looked up to Coach D, he was a father figure to me. He was an amazing person with a really good heart. He always made me smile when I needed it. He was a wonderful teacher and always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. He made school less boring and made me hate it less. He was my favorite teacher. I loved him with all my heart. Rest in peace Coach D. You will be missed. Sending my condolences to his family and friends. ❤

I knew Mark, "Daug," for a short time at UT. Obviously, he left an impact on me during our brief time together. My memories of him are of a fun-loving guy with a big heart. Reading about his life since UT, it is clear that he continued to positively impact all those he encountered, including many young people he taught, coached, and mentored. At the center of this seems to be the same big heart that I knew so many years ago, and the picture above shows he also retained his fun-loving nature. I was saddened to hear about Mark's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I loved Mark! From the first time I met him when our teams competed against each other at Pasco. He was so genuine and truly a man of honor. Whenever I would have the blessing of being able to share some time, laughs and stories with him would absolutely make my day! My deepest sympathies to Suzanne and the entire family. Truly a man of faith who expressed his love for other openly and freely. Unafraid to speak of Jesus, he strived to emulate peace and love to others in his life. He'll get the angels organized for one of the biggest tournaments to take place in Heaven! Till we meet again, my friend, rest in peace.

Mark was a great teacher, coach, father, and role model. I worked with him for 7 years at PHS. Coach D always put the needs of his students first. He challenged his students each day to be champions - To be the very best "that day" they could be. Right now, Coach is probably organizing a game of ultimate frisbee or pin wars. My condolences to Suzy, Niko, Holly, John, and family.

I will remember Coach D as a kind and friendly man. He made me feel welcome and made an effort to get to know me when I first started at PHS. I always appreciated the way he supported his students. He will be missed. My condolences.

I am so sorry to hear that Mark has passed. I have known him since we were first graders together at St. Alphonsus School in Wexford. We reconnected years later in Pasco County when my son wrestled for Land O Lakes. Mark was a great guy and a great mentor to so many. He was so welcoming to everyone. I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept our sympathies. Gone too soon.

My prayers to the family. I met Coach D along the way, as my 3 kids went to Pasco. Then my oldest grandson was lucky enough to have him as a teacher. It was great to reconnect with such a special individual who really cares for his students. I know he will be missed by his family and friends, but the future Pasco kids will miss out on a great teacher and mentor.
