Mark was my brother in law for 52 years. In reality he was my brother, a kind gentle man who always had something good to say to you.Never complaining, and always willing to help anyone . He was a joy to live the last nine years in our city, and the last three years living next door to us. He will be missed by my husband, JD Waldrop and me ,as well! JD said he was his best friend, and always be in both our hearts.

I met Mark and Kathy as a teen visiting their lovely home in Tampa with her sister and my best friend Marsha. They were young and had it together. We walked in and he stopped what he was doing to extend his hand and politely introduce himself and his very little, very blond diapered toddler who ran by holding a ball. What a cute family. I met them a few more times till they moved away. But the memory of him and Kathy never left. Life happens and we all get older. Then one day the suffering stops and we are left with just memories. The good book tells us to give thanks in all things. Kathy and the family have so much for which to be thankful. Thankful that you were there to hand Mark over to the lords waiting arms and he would have it no other way. Suffering for him is done. For those left behind suffering is a gift that brings us closer to god. It teaches us to be strong when we are weak. Brave when we are afraid and wise in the midst of confusion. And to let go of that which we can no longer hold in our arms. But forever in our hearts where Mark will reside forever.

We all grew up together. We played together, were educated together, had children together and went our separate ways to live life. However, anytime we would see each other, it was like we were never apart. Our Love and Friendship is that way. Mark and Kathy are that way. Glenda and I will miss you Mark Harper. With love, Danny Hall
