Mark LEWIS Obituary

LEWIS, Mark R. II born October 11, 1983, U.S. Army Captain (Retired) Mark R. Lewis, II, age 39, died suddenly at his home September 3, 2023 after suffering a long battle with depression, paranoia, and acute PTSD brought on by his service to our Country. Mark, a graduate of St. Pete Catholic High School and Florida International University, joined the Army following the 9/11 attack. He served our Country for eight years, with two Tours of combat duty in Iraq. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Mark R. Lewis, Sr. and is survived by his mother, Sharon Lewis Touchton; step-father, Nick C. Touchton; sister, Leslie McRoberts; niece, Jasmine McRoberts; brother, John C. Lewis; grandfather, Albert C. Blackwood; uncles, Richard Sullivan (Joyce) and John M. Lewis. Funeral services will be held at the Bay Pines VA Cemetery on October 11, 2023 at 10 am where he will receive a full military ceremony in honor of his service to our County.
