Mark PIETRZYKOWSKI Obituary

PIETRZYKOWSKI, Mark S. I was born August 6, 1949 and I left this world on September 11, 2021 at the age of 72, after a long battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Heartfelt thanks to Suncoast Hospice for their watchful eyes and loving care. A special thanks to my Hospice Acupuncturist Dr. Barb and the great staff and Reiki volunteers at the Integrative Medicine Clinic. Love You Guys, Great Job. Preceded in death by my father, Edward and mother, Josephine "Jo-Mama"; beloved brothers, Michael and Steven; and my greatest love, my wife, Sandra Lee, I am so grateful I am going to be with my dear Sandra again. In life I served four years in the U.S. Navy stationed at Imperial Beach, California during the Vietnam War. I was a Plane Captain on the UH2C Helicopter in Squadron Helicopter Combat Support. I like to joke my ship was the U.S.S. Neversail or U.S.S. Shorleave since I was spared sea duty. God Bless all my friends who served in Vietnam. Thank you for your service and Welcome Home! I am survived by my loving sister, Linda, Greenfield, WI; sister-in-law, Tammy, West Allis, WI; and nieces and nephews. My love to dear Aunt Marcy and Aunt Joan, Sandy's favorite aunts. To my childhood friends Tom J., Kenny L., and Dennis K., thank you for all the great times. To all my peeps at Twin Gables, especially Arlene, Bob, Gene and Terry, thank you for being there for me and filling these last few years with so much joy. To Father Albert Shayaka, thank you for praying with me. To Heidi, my dearest friend, these last five years I put my life and care into your hands and you gave with all your heart. I love you and I cannot wait until we meet again. To Heidi's family, Richard and Judy, thanks for being my friends and sharing your lives, time, and laughter with me. Love You. Funeral services will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Monday, October 4, at 2 pm.
