Martin Morris Obituary

MORRIS Jr., Martin C., 83, of Bradenton, died Aug. 16, 2003. Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, from 3-4 p.m. at Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel, 1015 14th St. W., Bradenton, Fla., with Rev. Ke nneth Sinclair officiating at the funeral service at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Fogarty Cemetery, Bradenton. Born in Atlanta, Ga., he moved to Bradenton three years ago from Sarasota. He was a retired engin eer, and had worked for Bail, Horton and Associates of of Bradenton for 30 years and then was self-employed. He plotted the first position of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Mr. Morris was a graduate of Bradento n High School, Class of 1939, the University of Cincinnati and the University of Tampa, and a Presbyterian. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Martha Morris of Bradenton; o ne daughter, Patricia Hobson of Bradenton; three sons, Gregory Morris of San Juan, Puerto Rico, David Morris of Laurel, Md., and Robert Morris of Tampa; and seven grandchildren.< ql>Shannon Funeral Home (941) 746-2111
