We never met your mother or Dad but we certainly will keep your Mother in our prayers as well that the Lord will be her comforter and help in this time. Our love to you Otis and Margaret Siewert

Max Capdevilla gave me my first taste of real Cuban bread and Coffee at the early age of 13. My mom Barbara was the Assistant Branch Manager at Barnett Bank off of Himes Ave in the late 90s' and Max was their customer. Max would bring hot pressed Cuban bread and Cafe con Leche every Friday night to all the Bank Employees- and never skipped a Friday! My mom would bring it home late at night to us and it had to be the most amazing thing I had ever tried. I can remember back in the day La Teresita was so packed on Saturday nights with 45 min waiting times. Some how Max would see us in the crowd and wave us on in ahead of everyone. Max made you feel like family with his love and gratitude. I use to love the way we would say my Mom's name - Bar..bara in his latain accent. The 3 of us had dinner at La Teresita Monday night and it was just as amazing as it was 20 years ago.
The world is definitely a lot dimmer tonight without your smile and love Max!!
God Bless You!! You are loved and will be missed from all of us whose lives you have touched and memories you helped make! The Cox Family- Barbara, Monica and Melissa.

To: The Capdevilla Family,
How wonderful ?Cap? was to me, ?Cap & Cora? provided for me and my two sisters and my mom (Eny) when we moved here from Miami in 1980's and with Abuela Mago we were engulfed with so much love and happy times. Granted we have all gotten older and moved on but all those days of playing dominos, stealing Jorge's shirts and wearing them to school (which always smelled of his favorite cologne in those days "Polo") and making sure we were quiet when Capdevilla came in to sleep for a couple of hours to turn around and go back to work at the grocery, meat market, fish market or "la cancha". Or when you would hear ?Cap? yelling at Maxi' (who lived next door with Sonia & Lissett) to get going or they would be late for work. I laugh out loud for all the wonderful memories they gave me. I know in my heart that my Mom, Jorge, Maxi and now ?Cap? they are living it up with all our extended family and friends in Heaven and smiling down upon us. - Cookie & Bo and family.
