Michael Carney Obituary

CARNEY, Michael L., 60, born in Piqua, Ohio, a lifelong resident of Tampa, and a current resident of Fairhope, Ala., passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth O. Carney and Beatrice Carney Alekonich. He is survived by his sisters, Doris J. Pritt and her husband, Jim, of Fairhope, and Joyce Alpers of Sioux Falls, S.D.; nephews, Brian Pritt and his wife, Billie Rae, of Knoxville, Tenn., David Alpers Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Sioux Falls; nieces, Stephanie Carey and her husband, Mike, of Gahanna, Ohio, and Dawn Marie Anderson of Sioux Falls; and aunts, Lucille Packman of Spring Hill, Fla., and Kathleen Perkins of Columbus, Ohio; as well as by his great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Montrose Bay Health and Rehab, PO Box 256, Montrose, AL 36559. Arrangements are being handled by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 19698 Greeno Road Fairhope, Ala.
