After serving in the U.S. Navy and completing college, Michael began working for the family business, R.J Frisby Mfg., in 1964, along with several of his siblings. He remained with Frisby Mfg. until 1981 when he moved to Clearwater, Florida to start his own sales company, Frisby Inc. Michael was strong in his faith and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Adriana; son, Sean Frisby (wife, Karen); stepchildren, Angie Ruiz (husband, Neil) and Marlon Lascano (wife, Judy); siblings, Dan, Kent and Tim Frisby and Kathy Bannon; grandchildren, Lauren, Kaylin and Allison Frisby, Abby Robertson, Lizzie and Manny Ruiz, and Andres and Luna Lascano. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby, Gary, Donny and Ginger Frisby; as well as his daughters, Nora Sigel and Megan Robertson. Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 9:30-11:30 am, at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo Florida. Mass will begin 1 pm, at Espiritu Santo Church, 2405 Phillippe Pkwy., Safety Harbor, FL 34695, followed by a graveside service at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo. I am truly sorry for your loss. Mike was a wonderful and generous person. Through the Robert J. Frisby Foundation he made annual contributions to Christian Appalachian Project, providing years of support for people dealing with the challenges of poverty in Appalachian Eastern Kentucy. When the Foundation was dissolved, he provided a tremendous transformational gift to our organization. Since that time, we have expanded in several ways including a much needed food pantry in one of our service counties. I will greatly miss his wit, his work ethic, his appreciation for a well written sentence, and his generous spirit. I remained in touch although he was no longer a contributor as I appreicated his kindness and character very much. I tried to call him earlier today and investigated when I found his phone was disconnected. May God bless your family at this time of loss and sadness. Dennis Jacobs, PhD, Senior Foundations Officer, Christian Appalachian Project. I would have sent a card, but, of course, do not have your addresses.
