Michael LUEDERS Obituary

LUEDERS, Michael Allen 48, died at home on Aug. 24, 2013, surrounded by family and friends. Mike was born at MacDill Air Force Base and graduated from Bayshore Christian High School. A skilled craftsman, Mike spent most of his working life as a professional house painter. Mike enjoyed offshore fishing, traveling and "safety meetings" with his buddies. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lueders and brother, Troy Schaugaard. Mike was a wonderful husband to Gabrielle (Gabi) Jervis; devoted son to Mary Lou Lueders; awesome brother to Leslie (Ron) Campbell, Kristen Schaugaard-Green (Stephen), and Brad Lueders; doting uncle to Michael, Stephen and DeYan; amazing nephew and cousin to his California relatives and loyal friend to so many. A gathering celebrating Mike's life will be held at the cabin, 6403 Interbay Blvd, Tampa on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at noon. Memorial donations may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center www.moffitt.org and Life Path Hospice www.lifepath-hospice.org.

Mrs Lueders, Brad, Chris, Lynn I want all of you to know how deeply sorry I am. You all were family to me and Mike and Brad like brothers. I didn't know anything was wrong till I saw this. Mike was a wonderful true friend and more to me and my family. The Lord Jesus took him home and if there is anything I can do please contact me. We all lost a great person and Man in Mike and I truly am sorry and pray for all of you.

So sorry to hear this sad news. What I remember most about Mike was how darn funny he was. When he would get going with his brothers I would laugh 'til I cried. His humor and his wonderfully skewed outlook on life gone way to soon.

I remember every Christmas Mike would risk his neck every year installing thousands of Christmas lights on the huge Oak tree in front of his home, year after year he would go further up and out. It was always so beautiful. thanks Mikey.
