UPTON, Muriel "Nana"

92, Temple Terrace, was called home to be with the Lord March 6, 2016. She was born in Jackson, TN, and raised in Tampa, where she graduated from Hillsborough High School 1941. She was predeceased by her first husband of 39 years, Edwin J. Fisher in 1985. She was also predeceased by her second husband, William K. Upton in 2003. "Nana" is survived by her loving children, Tom Fisher (Ana), Jim Fisher (Beth), Sandra Dodds (Tom), and Brenda Peterson (Erik); grandchildren, Robert Dobbs (Crystal), Amy White (Rick), Kelli, Kristin and Katy Fisher, Bobby Fisher (Sarah), Scott Fisher (Miranda), and Jana Head; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Morganne Dobbs, Kinsey, Jordan, and Parker White; sisters, Ruth Monnick and Joyce Figueredo; sister-in-law, Sandra Thedford; and many nieces and nephews. Muriel lived a full and vibrant life, living and travelling all around the world. She loved the game of golf and is in the Golf Hall of Fame with two hole in ones. She enjoyed gardening and always maintained a beautiful yard and home. She loved chocolate, margaritas, and Elvis. Her favorite hymn was "How Great Thou Art." She could always bring a smile to the faces of those around her. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother and will be truly missed by all. A Celebration of Life and Faith to be held Wednesday, March 16, 2 pm, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 14920 Hutchison Road, Tampa.
