Fran,
For many summers I swam next to you and Ned at Morningside Pool. Ned always had a story to tell with a twist of humor. He liked my husband because he too was a mechanical engineer who enjoyed working on cars. I'm so sorry for your loss. You had many good years together. May those memories live on in your heart, and may the Lord be your comfort and peace.

Mr. Farr was a very special person during my childhood on Summerlin Drive and positively influenced me. I'm not sure if he and my dad (Don Parker) had a master plan, but they guided me into engineering and a great career path. With my best friend Gini, I have so many special memories with the Farr family. I especially remember trips in the VW wagon with the back hatch open! I loved his fascinating stories and his wonderful sense of humor. Bless you in this time of sorrow - Donna (Parker) Boerner and family.

This is Rob and Nel Quarles...
We lived a couple of doors down from Ned and Frances, but unfortunately when we moved out of state we lost touch. We were shocked to hear of his passing. Ned was one of those people that touched your heart. We loved listening to his military stories, and just what he has done in his life. It saddens us that he has moved on from this earth, and are hearts and thoughts are with Frances and the family.

Dear Mrs. Farr,
I am so sorry to hear about your husband's passing. I used to come to your home in Clearwater to care for him through the home care program from Bay Pines VA HCS. I always enjoyed hearing stories about the war and looking through his box of pictures. I especially liked the picture where he is riding a camel in front of a pyramid in Egypt. He holds a place in my heart. Please accept my sympathy.

Having known Ned for over 40 years as a neighbor and friend, this era in our lives is hard to accept. 2011 has been especially hard since I lost Jean in May. Our family has missed having him around our neighborhood for the last several years, especially during our Christmas eve luminaria tradition. Ned was always a great person to talk, discuss and explore all of the day to day subjects in our lives. It was always a delight to hear many of his military adventures. Through the years we spent many hours on hundreds of fix-it projects but always succeeded. To the family I want to extend my condolences for your loss. Ned was a good example for all of us to follow and will be greatly missed. Don Parker
