Owen KITTREDGE Obituary
"Joe", age 91, of St. Petersburg, passed away Feb. 13, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Annetta; son, Bruce; grandsons, Shawn Kittredge and John Taylor Kittredge; three great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Jane Kittredge; and three nieces, all of Massachusetts. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Owen James and Julia Kittredge, natives of Ireland; an infant brother, John; sisters, Sister Mary Claire Kittredge and Rita Kittredge Cataldi; his first wife, Jeannette; and son, Walter, of ALS on Nov. 18, 2014. Joe was a Christian, a Mason, an educator and a WWII veteran, serving in the Navy as a radioman aboard a submarine.

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), I offer our sincere condolences on Owen's passing. You and your loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful for Owen's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. To our Brother of the Phin we say, Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country."

On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Owen's passing. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and all SUBVETS and their families have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Owen will always be remembered as a Brother of the Phin, a member of our Greatest Generation, and a great Patriot.
