I enjoyed interacting with Pat. I only knew him a short time but he was a gifted IT professional. He was taken away too young. My condolences to his friends and family.

Pat, you will be missed. Seeing you skate board down the drive would always make us remember to keep our inner child spirit. when we spoke a few months back you seemed so happy, and our conversation made me smile. You will be missed by us all. Love, Trisha, Tim and Storm

Pat and I became friends and allies about eight years ago, while working together for six weeks. After our original work ended, I did have a couple of occasions to drive to Florida for additional work with Pat. Since then I vacationed in Florida and incorporated a visit with Pat, Diane and Patricia, Pat’s Mother. For many years now, the connection between Pat and me consisted of numerous telephone calls.
Whenever we spoke, we would instantly click again; we talked about work, life, cars: especially fast cars and particularly Ferraris, skateboarding and technology it really did not matter. Without fail, no matter how sad or frustrated I was when I called, Pat and I would always be laughing within minutes. Pat would always help understand any technical problem, always patiently explaining the details to me.
I am still trying to accept the fact that Pat is gone, that he would not answer the phone if I called him now.

I have been thinking a lot about Pat since Diane called me. Here are some ideas I have regarding Pat. He was like a Christmas trip decorated with generations of unique ornaments; as you looked at the tree you would keep on finding varied and unusual ornaments. Pat’s intelligence commanded his vast experiences and gave him depths that I wonder how many people knew. Also for me, Pat was like a comet, bright and shining, that entered my life whenever we spoke.

It is strange, the unspoken thought that only people older than yourself are "suppose" to die.
Pat would have been 48 this coming September and I know I will miss him for a very long time.

No Farewells

A whisper in the darkness
An epitaph supreme
A life's full compilation
And fulfillment of a dream

There are no farewells for you this day
I've simply gone before
To set a place for all of you
For whom I do adore

There are no words that can describe
The joy that fills my heart
To think about my thankful life
Of which you are apart

For what now seems a parting
Is really but a phase
That finds us again together
In Gods plan, in future days

You will be missed!

Patrick, it was a pleasure getting to work with you while I was upstairs. I learned a lot about the technology I use in my job from you. It was also great having someone to talk tech with.

Patrick you will be dearly missed at Sunstar. Your kindness and compassion was contagious. I remember how you filled an entire Toys for Tots box every Christmas. I remember the days that you brought bagels, apple pies, or ice cream to share with all of us. You were incredibly talented, there is not a wall here that doesn't have your creativity displayed on it. The wonderful Christmas videos you spent so much time putting together always called for a standing ovation. I only hope you knew how much you meant to us. You have left us too soon with fond memories and heavy hearts.

I light this candle for Pat in his memory. He was an outstanding person, kind, gentle , and had a heart of gold. I remember his boyish smile as he would fill the box for Toys for Tots with Skateboards and sports balls, he wanted all kids to know what Christmas is all about. I remember calling him to ask if he could look at my computer, "yea yea i be right there" but I knew it would be a bit but thats okay he would get to it in his time and when he did he say "what did you do to it?" or say " You know I hate computers!" He always said he did not know what he was doing just that he pushed the right buttons, but it was usually better when he got through with whatever he did. I will remember him bringing in bagels every once in awhile saying come get them they are going fast. I know you are happier now and free of any pain, and that you are riding you bike or skateboard throughout the street of Heaven and entertaining all the children. Rest in Peace Pat.
