There is not a day that goes by, that I do not miss your smile, your wisdom, that certain smirk and look over your glasses at me. You know the one, where you do not agree with my thought process and you shake your head at me!

When times are tough and I am trying to find the way, I know that you are prodding me along to do my best, to take the path less traveled, to look for the right solution.

For all the memories, teachings, the commitment to my(our)life and the love you shared with all of us, I am eternally grateful.

My hope is that I can be all that you expect me to be!

Love and miss you so very much

I truly celebrate your life today!

I miss you and all the wonderful memories we shared together. I have peaceful and happy days, knowing I will see you again.

I remember your favorite prayer.

You once shared with me, " We all have but "One Journey" make well of it."

I will forever be grateful, for being a part of your life.

You were truly a " Man for Others."

Dr. Vento, Phil,

Even though you have passed from this life to your reward and as the day of your birth is upon me, I can not help but take time to reflect on the short time we had together.

You welcomed me into your family, your home and your life. You always helped me over any hurdle that I encountered with your sage and worldly advice. I always felt that I could come to you.
Never can I forget your hand on the piano, your wit and those deviled eggs.
Now that you are no longer with us I only have my many memories to fill the void. I enjoyed every minute I spent with you.

Thank you for your beautiful daughter and my wonderful memories.

I'll see you again.
Your Son-In-Law,

Jack

Today Dad we celebrate You,

We celebrate Love.

For what is Love?

It is not something that can be measured in number;

Not equated to the number of pages in a book, nor to the number of stars in the sky.

No,

Love is a complete offering of oneself to another, without expectation.

It is giving and not receiving.

True Love has no need for proclamation,

For when Love exists, it exists in deed, and it is known.

And we thank you Dad that we know Love.

You and Mom have given Love in its truest sense;

Pure, honest, unselfish.

True Love uncomplicated.

Each of us treasures that gift,

And because of it, Love will continue.

As we share Love with our families,

We share you with our families.

Out of self, we miss you;

Out of Love, we celebrate you.

Your Loving family,

Tootie,
Cheryl, Tom, Donna, Tina, Vicki, Mary, and

My thoughts and prayers are with the family in the passing of Dr. Vento. With the pain of losing someone that means so much, comes the comfort of knowing they are no longer suffering. Even though words can’t take away the sorrow of your loss, know that your love, care, and courage has meant the world to him.

Papa will carry on through generations. His greatest joy in life were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In his final days, he lit up at the sight of those who loved him. There is a piece of him running around in all of the "monkeys" :)

My monkeys will never have the privilege of knowing this wonderful man, but I know that this family will ensure that they know his love. Some of my favorite memories were spent with Papa: cook-outs, swimming, playing the piano. These are moments I will always cherish, and I am so thankful to have been a part of his great legacy. We will feel his love in our hearts with each day that passes.

My Dearest Philip,

This is my correction, to my June 11th, 2006 entry, as it was sent late into the night.

I have spoken to many,who have known you and I, over the past 20 years, and their hearts, prayers and love go out to us.

They know of our "devoted love" that we had for one another.

My Dearest Love,

To the children of Dr. Vento,

I give you my greatest sympathies regarding your father's death. I understand that his final months were not easy by any means, and there were many trials and tribulations along the way. My prayers are with you, that you may rest easy knowing that your dad is with God himself, in peace. May all of us be so lucky to meet him there one day.

My Dearest Philip,

It has been only a week since you have left "Leo" and I . We miss you so very much! I love you more than there are stars in the sky, and that's a lot. I use to hold your hand every night and tell you this, and you would look up at me and give me your sweet smile. I know you know how much! As I held your hand in your final days, you know how much I loved you. Only you know, how you, will be, with me and Leo, as we face the diffucult days, that lay ahead of us. You are our Guaridian Angel. I have spoken to many, who have know you, and, I over the last 20 years, and their hearts, prayers and love go out us. They know of our undevoted love, that we had for one another. You and I know we were at peace, and those, that truley loved both of us, know of our peace that we had.

My Dearest Love, till " Leo" and I see you again.

I first met Philip Vento at Jack & Cheryl's wedding. I immediately felt his kindness, courage and wisdom. He was the Rock of the family. You are all part of that rock.
