There is not a day that goes by, that I do not miss your smile, your wisdom, that certain smirk and look over your glasses at me. You know the one, where you do not agree with my thought process and you shake your head at me!
When times are tough and I am trying to find the way, I know that you are prodding me along to do my best, to take the path less traveled, to look for the right solution.

Dr. Vento, Phil,
Even though you have passed from this life to your reward and as the day of your birth is upon me, I can not help but take time to reflect on the short time we had together.
You welcomed me into your family, your home and your life. You always helped me over any hurdle that I encountered with your sage and worldly advice. I always felt that I could come to you.
Never can I forget your hand on the piano, your wit and those deviled eggs.
Now that you are no longer with us I only have my many memories to fill the void. I enjoyed every minute I spent with you.

Papa will carry on through generations. His greatest joy in life were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In his final days, he lit up at the sight of those who loved him. There is a piece of him running around in all of the "monkeys" :)
My monkeys will never have the privilege of knowing this wonderful man, but I know that this family will ensure that they know his love. Some of my favorite memories were spent with Papa: cook-outs, swimming, playing the piano. These are moments I will always cherish, and I am so thankful to have been a part of his great legacy. We will feel his love in our hearts with each day that passes.

It has been a privilege to have served Dr. Vento during his stay with Lifepath Hospice. He was a virtouso in piano. He was a wonderful person. My Condolences to his loving children and grandchildren.

My condolences go out to the family and especially to his long time companion of 20 years, Mary Aiken. I know Phillip was ill a long time but Mary Anne was there with him by his side, taking good care of him, loving him to the end. I will miss our times together, cooking out and enjoying Phillip on the piano and his great sense of humor. May he rest in peace.
